How it works
Online payments run on Airwallex. Your centre opens its own connected account from Integrations (/admin/integrations/airwallex), using Airwallex's own onboarding pages, and returns to your centre when it is done.
Your centre is the merchant of record. Families pay your centre, and the money settles to your centre's account. You never type an account number into XTutio; the account is recorded from Airwallex's own response.

How families pay
Families pay by BECS direct debit from their bank account. They set up their payment method in the parent portal, and invoices are charged against it.

The platform fee
Each payment carries a platform fee, shown to your centre as one all-in rate per payment method. It is set by XTutio, not by your centre, and it is taken from the payment as it is made.

Using your own Pinch or Stripe account
Some centres already collect through their own Pinch or Stripe account. Using one of those for family payments is offered only where XTutio has allowed it for your centre. Ask us before you plan on it.
Changing provider never cancels a family's existing payment method on its own. Each family sees its old method on its billing page and removes it there.

When something needs a person
A chargeback or a failed refund is listed under Needs attention on your Airwallex page, so it is not lost in a webhook log.
