Group lessons and classes

A class for the term.Every family billed fairly.

Group classes run from a spreadsheet overfill, and billing each family fairly takes hours. Run weekly classes with their seats, their weeks and a waitlist. Each week is an ordinary lesson, so the roll, the bill and the pay run already know what to do.

Full means full.

Weekly classes

A class for the term, with its seats, its weeks and its waitlist.

Classes run from a spreadsheet overfill, and billing each family for its own child is fiddly. Each week here is an ordinary lesson, so the roll, billing, cancellations and the pay run work as they always do.

  • Set up the class once

Name, service, tutor, campus or online classroom, days and time, term dates, year range and up to 60 seats. Publish it when it's ready.

  • Parents enrol their child

Parents browse the classes for their child's year, see the price and how many weeks remain, and confirm. Enrolling charges nothing: each week is charged as it is taught.

  • Full means full

A full class takes nobody more, from the front desk or a parent. The next family waiting is offered a free seat for 48 hours.

Waiting

Week by week

One child away, one tutor more, nobody else's bill touched.

When one child in a group is away, the whole group's billing should not need fixing. Group lessons follow your written cancellation policy, one child at a time.

  • Cancel one child's place

A parent takes one child out of one week under your normal policy, with the figure shown first and a makeup owed. The fee is never more than that child's share, and nobody else's place changes.

  • An assistant in the room

Add up to four co-tutors or assistants to a lesson. Each is checked like the lead tutor, sees the lesson on their day and is paid once for it.

  • Rooms that know their size

A room with a set capacity refuses one student too many, and a tutor teaching mixed years is paid at the highest year in the room.

In short

Group lessons and classes

XTutio runs weekly group classes with their seats, term dates, year range and a waitlist, and each week is an ordinary lesson, so the roll, the bill and the pay run work as always. A parent can take one child out of one week under the centre's policy without touching anyone else's place. Classes book through Scheduling, each family's share follows Billing and payroll, and parents enrol in the parent app.

Questions centres ask

Can parents enrol in a class themselves?

Yes. Parents browse the classes for their child's year, see the price and how many weeks remain, and confirm. Enrolling charges nothing: each week is charged as it is taught.

What happens when a class is full?

A full class takes nobody more, from the front desk or a parent. The next family waiting is offered a free seat for 48 hours.

Can one child miss a week?

Yes. A parent cancels one child's place for one week under your normal policy, the fee is never more than that child's share, and nobody else's place changes.
