Where the checklist lives
Your setup checklist is Setup, under Your centre in the admin area (/admin/onboarding). It is split into five stages: your centre, what you teach and charge, your people, connections, and opening.
Every step is checked against what is really in your centre, not against a tick. A step turns done when the thing it asks for exists, and it turns back if that thing goes away. You never mark a step done by hand.
02
Required, recommended and optional
Each step has a level. A required step must pass before your centre can open. A recommended step does not block you, but the page tells you what it costs to skip it. An optional step can wait until after you open.
Required: your centre's details (name, legal name, an ABN that passes the ATO check, registered address, timezone, and support and safety emails), at least one active campus, a priced service, billing terms your centre saved itself, an admin who can sign in, and working email.
Recommended: at least one tutor with a current pay rate, and a way for families to pay. Optional: branding, closure days, other connections such as SMS or Teachworks, and importing your students.

Working through the stages
Each step links to the screen that fixes it. A typical order:
- Fill in your details and branding on Your centre (/admin/centre).
- Add your campuses on Campuses (/admin/locations).
- Add your services and their prices on Services (/admin/services).
- Choose how you bill on How you bill (/admin/billing-policy) and save it.
- Invite your team on Users + roles (/admin/users).
- Connect email, and payments if you can, on Integrations (/admin/integrations).
- Bring your families in on Bulk import (/admin/import), or add them as you go.

Opening your centre
The last stage lists every recommended and optional step you have not done, with what it means, and then the button to open.
A new centre starts on a free trial. Before it can open, the person opening it accepts the current centre agreement, which is kept on record with its exact wording. Opening then takes you to Subscription (/admin/subscription), where you start your subscription and the rest of your trial carries across.
