How your centre keeps your child safe
The Safety centre, parental controls, and the page that explains your centre's own safety settings.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
Parents want to know what their children do in the app and to be able to switch things off. The Safety centre shows your children's recent AI chats, any safety message your centre has shared with you, and controls that apply to every child in your family. It puts you in charge of what your children can use.
The Safety centre is where you see your children's recent AI chats, read any safety message your centre has shared with you, and switch features off.
Open the Safety centre
- Open More > Safety, or go to Safety.
- Under Your children, each child shows recent activity and a link to their full view.
- Under Messages from the centre, read any safety message your centre has chosen to share with you.
Parental controls
These apply to every child in your family, on top of the age limits the app already has:
- Leaderboards: off keeps your children's scores private to them.
- Photo import: uploading a photo of a timetable or exam notice to read into the calendar.
- AI study tools: any AI feature your centre offers. Off applies even when your centre offers it.
Each switch saves straight away.
How we keep your child safe
Choose How we keep your child safe at the top of the Safety centre. It explains, for your own centre, how tutors are checked, who can join online lessons, home lesson safety if your centre teaches at home, and who to contact.
Good to know
- Your centre's safety lead decides what a family is told about a safety matter. A child's own reports to the centre are not shown to parents.
- If a child is in danger right now, call 000.
