Reporting a concern
Tell your centre's safety lead about something that worries you, from inside the parent app.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
When something worries you about your child's safety, you need to know your concern reaches the right person quickly. Reporting from the parent app sends it straight to your centre's safety lead, not a general inbox. You can raise it any time, without having to find the right email address.
If something worries you about your child's safety, a member of staff, another child, or something in the app, tell your centre straight from the parent app. It goes to your centre's safety lead, not a general inbox.
If a child is in danger right now, call 000 first.
Report a concern
- Open Safety.
- Choose Report a concern, or go to Report a concern.
- Choose what it is about:
- Something a tutor or staff member did or said
- I'm worried about my child's safety or wellbeing
- Something another child did
- Something my child saw or was sent in the app
- Something else
- Write what happened in your own words.
- Send.
What happens next
- A concern about staff, or about your child's safety or wellbeing, alerts your centre's safety lead straight away. They will contact you.
- Other concerns go on your centre's safety list. The safety lead looks at each one and contacts you if they need more.
- The screen confirms what happens once it is sent.
Good to know
- Your report is kept as a safety record at your centre.
- Your child can also tell the centre something is wrong from their own app.
