Privacy and your family's data

Ask for a copy of what your centre stores about your family, and how to delete your own account.

Updated 18 October 2026

Why this exists

It is your family's information, and you should be able to see what is held and take it with you. You can ask for a copy of everything your centre holds about you or your whole family, and get it by email. You can also delete your own parent account, and you are told clearly what that removes first.

You can ask for a copy of the data your centre holds about you or your whole family, and you can delete your own parent account.

Get a copy of your data

  1. Open More > Privacy and your data, or go to Privacy and your data.
  2. Choose Export my data, or Export my entire family to include your children.
  3. You will receive a download link by email. The page says when to expect it.

The file is a JSON file, a format other apps can read. The link stays valid for 14 days. Your last few requests and their status show on the same page.

Delete your parent account

  1. Open Settings and scroll to Delete account.
  2. Read what will be removed.
  3. Tell us why, if you like. You can skip this.
  4. Type your email address to confirm, then delete.

Deleting cannot be undone. Your login is removed and you are signed out. You would need a new invitation from your centre to come back.

Closing a child's account

A child cannot delete their own account. Ask your centre to close it. Your centre closes the account so your child cannot sign in, and keeps their work, so it can be opened again later.

Good to know

  • Photo consent is on the same page, under Recordings and photos.
  • For any other privacy question, contact your centre.
