Exam dates
Add your children's school exams so they, you and their tutor can plan for them.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
Tutors can only help your child prepare for a school exam if they know it is coming. Adding the date once puts it on your child's calendar and countdown, and shows it to the tutors who teach them. Everyone works towards the same date without you having to pass the message on.
Adding a school exam helps everyone plan. It shows on your child's calendar, on their home page countdown, and to the tutors who teach them.
Add an exam
- Open Exams, or choose Add an exam on the Calendar.
- Choose Add an exam.
- Pick the child, then type the subject and choose the exam date. A start time, length, location and notes are optional.
- If the school sent a notice, use Attach the notice (photo or PDF) to add a photo or the PDF. Word documents and spreadsheets work too, up to 20 MB each.
- Save.
Change or delete one
Open the exam from Exams and choose Change or Delete.
Who can see it
- Your child, in their own Exams page.
- You and any other parent in your family.
- The tutors who teach your child see it, with the notice, under Coming up on each of your child's lessons in the eight weeks before it.
- Staff at your centre.
Good to know
- The exam dates list is free for every family.
- Your child and their tutor can add exams too. A tutor can delete only exams they added.
- Your centre may use the notices families attach to plan revision sessions and staffing for busy exam weeks. They stay within your centre.
- Practice papers and mock exams are a separate extra that your centre may offer.
