The family calendar

Why this exists

Juggling several children's lessons, homework and exams across different apps and diaries is tiring. The family calendar shows everyone's week in one place, each child in their own colour. You can see clashes and busy days at a glance and add your own reminders.

Open it

1. Open Calendar.
2. Choose Day, Week, Month or List.
3. Use the arrows to move earlier or later, or Today to come back.
4. Choose a child's name to see only their calendar, or Everyone to see all.

Tap an item to open its page, such as a lesson or a piece of homework.

Add something to a child's calendar

1. Choose Add to a child's calendar.
2. Pick the child, give it a name, a date and a time.
3. Save.

You can change or delete what your family added. Lessons and anything else your centre added can only be changed by the centre.

Add an exam

Choose Add an exam to put a school exam on a child's calendar. See Exam dates.

Sync to your phone

1. Choose Sync to your phone.
2. Copy the link for the whole family, or for one child.
3. Add it to your phone's calendar app as a subscribed calendar.

It stays up to date by itself. Keep the link private: anyone who has it can see that schedule. A lesson at home shows only as "At home".

Family events and study planning

Your centre may also switch on family events (for everyone or some children), reminders and revision plans. When they are on, the button reads Add to the calendar and you get more choices. If you do not see these, they are not switched on for your centre yet.

Good to know

• Items your child adds and does not share with tutors are still shown to you.
• Times are shown in your centre's time zone.
