Moving or cancelling a lesson
Move a lesson to a time the tutor is free, or cancel it, and see exactly what it costs before you confirm.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
When something comes up, you want to move or cancel a lesson without waiting on the phone. Where your centre allows it, you can do it from the lesson's page and see the cost before you confirm. The tutor is told straight away.
You can move or cancel your child's lesson from its page, where your centre allows it. Before anything is cancelled, you are shown what it costs under your centre's cancellation policy.
Moving a lesson
- Open the lesson from Lessons.
- Press Reschedule.
- Pick one of the Suggested slots, or a time the tutor is free.
- Press Confirm reschedule. The tutor is told.
You can move a lesson here up to your centre's notice period before it starts. Closer than that, contact the centre.
Cancelling a lesson
- Open the lesson and press Cancel lesson.
- Read the figure. It may be No charge, a late cancellation fee, or the full lesson, depending on how much notice you give.
- If it is late, choose a reason. Choose My tutor asked me to if that is what happened.
- Where Rebook instead: attend the new time and pay no fee is offered, press Cancel and pick a new time to choose the makeup straight away.
- Or cancel without rebooking: press Confirm cancellation, or Cancel and accept the charge when there is a fee to pay now.
Good to know
- The figure you see is the figure you are charged. If it changes before you confirm, you are asked to read the new figure first.
- A late fee is held, not charged straight away. If your child attends the makeup within your centre's window, the fee is cleared.
- Cancelling a makeup, or a lesson you already moved, is never free and has no makeup.
- If other families are in a group lesson, you cannot cancel or move it here. Contact the centre.
- If your centre manages lessons in another system for now, contact the centre to change a lesson.
- Read your centre's full cancellation policy.
