Setting up direct debit
Save your bank account so you can pay invoices and add money to your account by direct debit.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
Remembering to pay each invoice is one more job in a busy week. Setting up direct debit once means invoices and top-ups are paid from your bank account without you having to do it each time. You can see every payment, and change or remove your account whenever you need to.
You pay your centre by direct debit from your bank account. Set it up once and use it for every invoice and top-up.
Steps
- Open Billing and go to Payment method, or open Payment method directly.
- Enter your account name, BSB and account number. Some centres send you to a secure page to enter them instead.
- Read the direct debit agreement and choose Authorise direct debit.
- You see "Your bank account is still being checked" while the bank confirms it. Once it is saved, the page says "Your bank account is saved for direct debit."
Change or remove it
On the same page you can Update bank account or remove the method. Changes apply from your next invoice.
If your centre changes how it takes payments
The page tells you: "Your centre now takes payments a new way." Set up your method again, then remove the old one with Remove old method. Nothing is cancelled for you, so remove the old one yourself.
Good to know
- If a debit fails, your billing page says so. Update your bank account and try again.
- The page lists recent payments and when your method was added, updated or removed.
- If your centre is not taking payments through the portal yet, the page says so.
- Card payments are not available.
