Adding and looking after your children
Add a child to your family, give them their own login, and reset their password if they forget it.

Why this exists
Keeping track of several children, each with their own lessons and homework, gets muddled fast. Here each child has their own page, and their own login if they use the student app. When a child forgets their password, you can fix it yourself in a minute instead of waiting for the centre.
Each child in your family has their own page, with their lessons, homework and progress. A child can also have their own login for the student app.
Add a child
- Open My family.
- Choose Add a child.
- Type their full name and, if you like, a nickname to show in the portal.
- Choose their year level. You can also add their school and date of birth.
- Tick Give them their own login if they will use the student app, then choose a username and a password of at least 8 characters. No email address is needed.
- Save.
If you just want to let your centre know about a brother or sister, use Quick add sibling instead. Your child's tutor is told and will be in touch.
Give a login later
On My family, each child without a login has a button to make one. You choose the username and password.
If your child forgets their password
- Open My family.
- Find your child and choose Reset their password.
- Type a new password of at least 8 characters and save.
Your child's username stays the same. They sign in with the username and the new password.
Good to know
- Write the username down somewhere safe. Children sign in with a username, not an email address, so "Forgot password" on the sign-in page cannot help them. You reset it here.
- Only your centre can close a child's account. A child cannot delete their own account.
