Pack reminders, plan suggestions and free assessments

Remind parents when a pack is running low, show parents a priced suggestion when a child keeps reaching for something not on their plan, and offer a free first assessment.

Updated 18 October 2026

Why this exists

Families run out of lessons in a pack without noticing, parents do not always know what else their child could do, and a new family's first visit can feel like guesswork. These settings remind parents before a pack runs out, suggest a plan addition to the parent when it fits, and give new families a free assessment and a written plan.

Three optional settings on Settings > Reviews and re-enrolment help families keep going and new families get started. Each is off until your centre ticks it.

Before you start

You need the settings.edit permission. If the page says these settings are not switched on yet, you can read what each one does but saving waits until they are.

Low pack balance reminder

Tick Remind parents when a pack is running low and set how many lessons left starts the reminder. The parent is told in the app and by email, once for each pack, with one tap to ask for more lessons. You still approve the request and send the invoice. Nothing is sent while your centre is not yet charging families through the portal.

Suggestions to parents about their plan

Tick Show parents these suggestions. When a child keeps trying something that is not on the family's plan (three times in two weeks), the parent sees a card on their own home page with your price for adding it.

  • Children never see a price or a suggestion, and nothing a child typed is recorded.
  • Parents can turn the suggestions off.
  • An upgrade with no price set is never mentioned.

Free first assessment and plan

Tick Let staff offer a free assessment and choose the Checks to offer. Staff can then offer an assessment on an enquiry: the family gets a link to the child's Find my level checks to do before the trial lesson. Within 48 hours you get a draft written plan to edit and send to the parent.
