Finding a family
Search for a family by the family name, any parent's name, email or phone, or a child's name.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
When a parent rings, you may only have a first name, a phone number or their child's name, and scrolling a long list wastes their time and yours. For front desk and admin staff, one search box finds the family from any of those. You can answer the call with the family's page already open.
The Families list shows every family at your centre that you are allowed to see. A campus-restricted staff member sees only the families at their own campuses.
Before you start
You need the families.view permission. Admins and front desk staff usually have it.
Search for a family
- Open People > Families (Families).
- Type in the search box. You can type:
- the family name, for example "Nguyen"
- any parent's name or email address
- a phone number, with or without spaces, a leading 0 or +61
- a child's name
- The list narrows as you type. Press a row to open the family.
Narrow the list
- Status filters by the family's plan status, such as Active or Paused.
- Campus shows one campus only.
- Clear a filter with the cross on its chip.
Good to know
- A phone search needs at least six digits.
- Export CSV downloads the list. Exports ask for two-step sign-in and are recorded.
- Tick rows to send a Broadcast to just those families, export them, or archive them.
- If a family is missing, check People > Unlinked families, or ask whether they are still an enquiry under Enrolment enquiries.
