Following your child's homework

See what each child has been set, what they handed in, and how it was marked.

Why this exists

Finding out what homework is due often means asking your child, who may not remember. The homework page shows what each tutor has set, when it is due and whether it has been handed in or marked. You can help your child stay on top of it without chasing anyone.

Homework your child's tutor sets shows in the parent app, so you always know what is due.

See homework

  1. Open More > Homework, or go to Homework.
  2. Each piece of homework shows the child, what it is and when it is due.

What the labels mean

  • Set: the tutor has set it and it is not due yet.
  • Due soon: it is due today or tomorrow.
  • Overdue: the due date has passed and it has not been done.
  • Handed in: your child has handed it in and it is waiting to be marked.
  • Marked: the tutor has marked it.
  • Another go asked: the tutor would like your child to try again.
  • Done: finished.
  • Skipped: the tutor has taken it off the list.

Good to know

  • Homework is usually due at your child's next lesson.
  • A person at your centre marks handed-in work. Any first draft of the marking stays with the tutor and is never shown to you or your child until the tutor has checked it.
  • Some homework is practice in a learning game. It is marked done when your child plays that game from their homework list.
  • Your child sees their homework on their own Today page and in Homework in the student app.
