Your child's own mobile and email

Give the centre your child's own mobile or email so they can be reached about a closure or a safety matter.

Updated 18 October 2026

Why this exists

Older children are often out and about, and an urgent message about a closure or a cancelled lesson may need to reach them directly. Adding your child's own mobile and email lets your centre tell them about lesson changes and safety matters. You stay in control: they are never used for promotions, and you can remove them at any time.

You can give your centre your child's own mobile number and email address. The centre uses them only for emergency and operational notices, such as a closure, a cancelled lesson or a safety matter. They are never used for promotions.

Add or change them

  1. Open Settings (Settings).
  2. Find your child's contact box.
  3. Enter an Australian mobile number (for example 0412 345 678) and an email address your child reads.
  4. Save.

To remove them, clear the boxes and save.

Good to know

  • Only Australian mobile numbers work, because a text cannot reach a landline.
  • Your child's sign-in name is not an email address and cannot be used here.
  • If you do not see this box, your centre has not switched it on yet.
  • Your second contacts (another parent or carer the centre keeps on file) are also shown on your settings page. To change them, ask your centre.
