Phones, tablets and installing the app
The portal works in any up-to-date browser, and you can install it on your home screen like an app.

Why this exists
Families should not have to buy a new device or hunt through an app store to use the portal. It runs in the web browser you already have, on a phone, tablet or computer, with the same sign-in everywhere. You can also put it on your home screen so it opens like an app.
The portal runs in the web browser, so there is nothing to download from an app store. It works on phones, tablets and computers, and the same sign-in works everywhere.
What works best
- An up-to-date version of Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- iPads and tablets work well for the student app, games and online lessons.
- Online lessons need a camera and microphone, and the browser's permission to use them.
Install it on your home screen
Installing puts an icon on your home screen and opens the portal in its own window.
iPhone or iPad
- Open the portal in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
Android
- Open the portal in Chrome.
- When the app offers to install, choose install. Or open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
Computer
In Chrome or Edge, use the install icon in the address bar.
On a shared device
Sign out when you finish, especially on a family iPad. Pages that show your family's details are not kept on the device after you sign out.
Good to know
- Your child can use the same device with their own login. Sign out of yours first.
- If something looks wrong, update the browser and reload the page.
