Making a worksheet with AI
Describe a worksheet in a sentence and get a draft with the answers marked, or make an easier or harder copy.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
Writing a fresh worksheet, then easier and harder versions, takes time tutors would rather spend teaching. The worksheet maker writes a first draft from a short description, with every answer marked, and can make easier or harder copies. Staff check it and change it, then hand it out.
The worksheet maker writes a first draft for you. It is for staff only; students never see the button.
Before you start
Your centre needs an AI connection under Settings > Integrations. If the button says AI is not available, ask your centre's admin.
Make a worksheet
- Open a document and choose Insert > Worksheet from a description....
- Describe what you want, such as "Linear equations, one and two steps, getting harder", and the year level.
- Choose Write worksheet.
- The questions land in the document with every answer marked.
Easier or harder
With a worksheet open, choose Tools > Make an easier copy of this worksheet or Make a harder copy of this worksheet. You get a new document; the original is unchanged.
Good to know
- Check every question and answer before you hand it out. The AI can make mistakes.
- Names are taken out before anything is sent. Do not type a student's details into the description.
- Then make a student copy with the answers left blank. See Worksheets and answer keys.
