Your notifications
Where your alerts appear, choose which ones you get by email, text or in the app, and turn on phone notifications.

Why this exists
Things that need you, such as a cover request or a colleague's mention, are easy to miss if they arrive in the wrong place or not at all. Notifications bring them to the bell, your email, a text or your phone, and you choose which kinds reach you where. Alerts you must not miss, such as safety, stay on.
The app tells you about things that need you: a cover request, a new lesson request, a message, a colleague's mention, a tutor's expiring check.
The bell
The bell at the top of every staff page shows your newest notifications. Open one to go straight to what it is about.
If the notification centre is switched on for your centre, the bell has See all notifications. That page lists everything for the last 90 days, newest first, with Mark all read and Show older.
Choose what you get
- Open Notification settings.
- For each kind of alert, turn each channel on or off: Email, Text or In the app.
- Save.
With the notification centre switched on, the choices are grouped: Lessons, Messages, Homework and progress, Billing, Centre news and Staff operations. A group marked Always on cannot be turned off: safety, your account and sign-in, emergencies, and your own Working with Children Check or compliance items expiring.
Your choices can only stop a message. They never add one, and someone who unsubscribed is still never sent promotions.
Phone notifications
If phone notifications are switched on for your centre, the Phone notifications card at the top of Notification settings lets you get alerts on your phone or computer.
- On an iPhone or iPad, first add the site to your Home Screen: tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen, and open it from there.
- Press Turn on notifications and allow them when your browser asks.
- Untick any kinds you do not want on this device: Lesson reminders, Lesson changes, Notices from the centre, New messages, Cover requests and Thank-yous.
Phone notifications never carry a child's name or a message's words, and never promotions. Turn them off with Turn off on this device.
If the card says notifications are not switched on yet, ask your centre's admin.
