Meeting notes
Let the meeting take notes from what is said, edit the draft, share it, or keep a meeting confidential.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
Someone usually ends up taking notes in a staff meeting instead of taking part. With notes switched on, each speaker's words are written down from their own microphone, and the person who turned notes on gets a draft to check and share afterwards. Sensitive meetings can be marked confidential, so nothing said is kept.
Meeting notes may not be switched on for your centre yet. If you do not see Take notes in a meeting, ask your centre's admin.
Take notes
- In the meeting, the host or a centre admin chooses Take notes.
- Everyone sees "Notes on", and the lobby says so for anyone still waiting.
- While notes are on, each speaker's own words are written down from their own microphone.
The draft
After the meeting, the person who turned notes on opens the meeting's chat page and asks for a draft. Only they can see, edit and share it. Names are swapped for placeholders before the words go to the AI, and put back for you. Once shared, everyone who could read the meeting chat can read the notes.
Confidential meetings
When you schedule a meeting, choose Confidential, no notes. Then Take notes is not offered, nothing said is kept, and nothing goes to the notes AI. Live captions still show on screen during the call.
Good to know
- Notes and chat are kept for 12 months, then deleted.
- Turning notes on and off is recorded in your centre's audit log.
