Whiteboard pages and the Students panel
Bring everyone to your page, give each student a page of their own, and watch their work live.
Updated 18 October 2026
Why this exists
In a group lesson it is hard to see who is following and who is stuck. These tools let the tutor bring everyone to the same page, give each student a page of their own, and watch every page live from one panel. You can step in the moment a student needs help.
When you teach with the whiteboard, you lead it. In the online classroom you are the board's owner; in a Documents whiteboard, so is the person who made it.
Bring everyone with you
Bring everyone to my view moves every student to the page and spot you are looking at. Their screen shows Following tutor until they move away.
A page for each student
- Open Students on the board.
- Choose Give each student a page of their own.
- Each student writes on their own page. The panel shows every student's page live, so you can see who is stuck.
Clear a page
Clear this page (under More board options) is for the owner only.
Who can write
- In a Documents whiteboard, people you share it with as Can edit write; Can view only watch.
- In an online lesson, the tutor and students write. A parent writes too when your centre lets parents take part.
Good to know
- Pictures from the maths tools can be sent to the board with Send to lesson board; on the board, choose More > Add picture from Maths tools.
- If someone has an older copy of the board open, the board shows a notice asking them to reload.
