Sending events to other apps with webhooks
Send events such as new enquiries, bookings and payments to Zapier, Make, Slack or a spreadsheet as they happen.

Why this exists
Copying new enquiries or bookings into a chat app, a spreadsheet or another tool by hand is tedious and easy to forget. A webhook sends a short message to that tool each time something happens at your centre, carrying only what you choose to share.
A webhook sends a short message to another app each time something happens at your centre, such as a new enquiry or a lesson being booked. Use it to connect tools like Zapier, Make, Slack or a spreadsheet.
Before you start
- You need integrations.manage and two-step sign-in.
- Webhooks must be switched on for your centre by the platform. Until they are, Webhooks does not appear under Settings > Connections, and the page says they are not switched on yet. Ask your centre's admin to request it.
- You need an https address from the app you are connecting to.
Add an address
- Go to Settings > Connections > Webhooks and press Add an address.
- Paste the https address and give it a name if you like.
- Tick the Events to send: a new enquiry, a new family, a new student, a lesson booked, cancelled or completed, an invoice issued, or a payment received.
- Tick Include contact details only if the other app needs them and you are allowed to share them. It adds the parent's first name and email to new enquiry and new family events, and the child's first name to new student events. It is off by default.
- Press Add address.
- Copy your signing secret now. It is shown once. The receiving app uses it to check a delivery really came from your centre.
Press Send test to try it.
The delivery log
Delivery log shows each delivery, when it was sent, how many tries it took and what the receiver said. A delivery that fails is retried over 24 hours. After 15 failures in a row the address is paused and your admins get a notice. Fix the receiver, then press Resume.
What is sent
Only what each event needs, as plain values, mostly ids. Never a surname, an address, home notes, safety records or your custom fields. A name or email goes only with Include contact details ticked. The What is sent page lists every field for every event, and how to check the signature.
Good to know
- Pause stops sending until you resume. Delete removes the address; add it again to change it.
- Deliveries are kept for 30 days, then deleted.
- Every change is recorded in the audit log.
