Assigning, comments and passing to a tutor
Share the work in the team inbox: assign conversations, leave comments for colleagues, mention them, link the family and pass a message to a tutor.

Why this exists
When several people answer the same mailbox, messages get answered twice or not at all, and notes about a family end up in private chats. The team inbox lets you assign a conversation, leave comments families never see, link the family and pass a message to their tutor. Everyone knows who is handling what.
The team inbox is built for several people answering the same messages without stepping on each other.
Assign a conversation
- Open the conversation and press Assign.
- Find a teammate. Only colleagues who can open that inbox are listed.
- They are told in the app, and it appears in their Assigned to me folder. Unassign takes it back.
Leave a team comment
- Type in the Team comment box under the conversation.
- Type @ to mention a colleague. They get a notice in the app and it shows in their Mentions.
Comments stay inside your team. They are never sent to the family.
Link the family
The inbox matches a sender's email or phone to a family at your centre where it can, showing first names and year levels. If it did not, press Link to family, find the family or student, and link it. Open the family goes to their record if you can view families.
Pass to a tutor
When a family's message is really for their tutor:
- Press Pass to tutor and find the tutor.
- An email opens to the tutor's own mailbox with the conversation quoted under a short note.
- Check it and press Send.
Snooze, flag and pin
Snooze hides a conversation until a time you choose. When it comes back, the person it is assigned to is told once. Flag and Pin to the top keep important ones in view.
